Brilliant Bookshops: Waterstones, Exeter

Exeter is a vibrant and attractive town, full of history and interest. Its magnificent cathedral and Roman city walls are stunning - and it has not one, but two branches of Waterstones!

The first I came to was on the High Street. Bright and spacious, this is a very attractive shop. The children’s section is very well laid out, offering an excellent range of titles, including a fantastic selection of picture books!

The staff were friendly and welcoming, ready to offer advice, but happy to leave you to browse. It was a pleasure to spend time here!

The other branch is near the Cathedral (well worth a visit itself!). Heading for the children’s section, I was delighted by how bright and attractive it is, really appealing to its audience and offering a very welcoming space for them to explore the books around them.

Both branches are well worth a visit and very easy to spend time in. I shall be visiting again very soon!
