Brilliant Bookshops: High Peak Bookstore and Cafe, Brierlow Bar

High Peak Bookstore is a real treasure! Set in the heart of the Peak District, it is the perfect place to while away time, browsing the extensive range of books on offer. The atmosphere is wonderfully warm and welcoming- for pets (no tigers or snakes!) as well as their owners.

The Children’s Room offers a great selection for children of all ages, with fiction and non-fiction titles available, many at a fraction of the original price. There are also toys, games and puzzles to browse through in a very pleasant, spacious area.

There is a wonderful range of books on offer- really something for everyone - and we bought some history, poetry, classics and science books as well as children’s. Best of all, the shop is also obviously owned by someone with a great sense of humour- look at this for a toilet roll holder!

A wonderful place to while away the time, surrounded by books! Make sure you visit!
